IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING A MAPPER WINDOW, OR NOTHING DISPLAYS IN THE MAPPER WINDOW
Scorecard should automatically detect if you are using a browser that is not java-enabled, and deliver you the html version of our maps instead. If this is not occuring, please send us a bug report so that we can ensure we are adequately supporting all the browsers in use by Scorecard visitors.
The mapper works best with the latest browser versions from Netscape (4.5 and higher) and Internet Explorer (5.0). Earlier Netscape and IE browsers will work if they are java-enabled, although some Macintosh versions of Netscape crash because of their reliance on early, inadequate versions of java.
WHERE ARE ALASKA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO, GUAM, ETC?
The mapper will be able to draw these regions soon.
HOW CAN I BOOKMARK A MAP IMAGE?
Launch the mapper by clicking on the hyperlinked place name in the "Map Locating" section of any Scorecard report. Once the mapper has opened in its small window, right click your mouse button anywhere within the window but outside of the map image and select the option to "add bookmark." The map page URL will be added to your bookmark list (the bookmark will be titled "Map Viewer.") You can reopen your area map directly using this bookmark.
HOW CAN I PRINT A MAP IMAGE?
Open any link to the mapper in a new window and use your browser's print command to obtain a hardcopy of the entire window. To open a link in a new window, use your right mouse button when clicking on a mapper hyperlink and select "open in new window."
